Partnership Announcement: Duke 4 Sport

PaddleNSW recently entered into a partnership to support the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development program empowering young Australians aged 14-24 to explore their full potential.

For those of you who may not know of ‘Duke of Ed’ as it’s affectionately known, it’s a service, skills development and recognition program for young people. The Award was launched in 1956 by Prince Philip.

Duke 4 Sport is a partnership with established sporting organisations that can attract young athletes and volunteers to our sport by opportunities made available through our clubs, committees and paddlesports.

Being an established partner provides the potential for increasing engagement in our sport with young people, teaching them new skills, offering physical recreation and volunteering opportunities for Duke of Ed Participants across NSW.

If you as a club, committee or paddlesports have opportunities to offer under this partnership, please contact the office via email to chat further about the opportunity at hand to see if it is eligible for inclusion.

If you are a young person involved in Duke of Ed whether currently involved in paddling or not, take a look at the types of opportunities that may be available under Skills, Voluntary Service or Physical Recreation stream for your Level, take a look at some of the activity types that can be offered under the PaddleNSW Duke 4 Sport partnership.
