All Entries via GoMembership

Early Bird entries close Tuesday 16th November

Final entries close Thursday 18th November

Race 8 of the 2021 Marathon Series will be run at Narrabeen and hosted by Manly Warringah Kayak Club.

This is also Round 2 of the 2021 PaddleNSW Junior Paddler Series, catering for new Junior paddlers in U12, U14, U16 & U18 categories, outside of the normal Divisional racing.
Juniors wanting to enter and contest the Junior Series should enter one of these categories instead of a Division.

ALL paddlers must complete the registration process. For the avoidance of doubt, that means BOTH paddlers in a Double, and ALL paddlers in anything bigger.

Paddlers who previously entered the subsequently cancelled Woronora event have had their entries automatically transferred to this race and do not need to complete another registration.

This will be a 2.5km Lap Course, with the 20km Divisions (1-7) paddling 8 laps, Division 8 paddling 6 laps, Divisions 9-12 paddling 4 laps, and Division 13 paddling 2 laps.

Juniors will paddle courses as follows:

U/8 & U/10
2.5km total (1 lap)
5km total (2 laps – with Div 13)
U/14 & U/16
10km total (4 laps – with Divs 9-12)
15km total (6 laps – with Div 8)

The Race Briefing will be emailed to all entrants, along with the Start List, on the Friday before the race. PLEASE READ THE BRIEFING Рit will contain important information about the venue, the course, and what you need to do on the day.

2021 Marathon Series Presentations & Awards will be conducted on-site shortly after the last paddler finishes this event, and the timekeepers have had an opportunity to validate the Results and finalise the Series Pointscores for each Division. Trophies will be presented to those paddlers finishing 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each of the 13 Divisions.
With the shortened Series, the poinstcore rules have had to be adjusted, and it is now your best 5 results that are used to calculate your Series Total. (the system automatically calculates your best 5 results from the Marathon Series and any Bonus races you have completed this year)
Paddlers can view the current Series Standings on the PaddleNSW Webscorer page.

Please be mindful of Social Distancing requirements when gathering for the Presentations.

All Covid conditions apply – you will need to be Double Vaccinated to attend and/or participate. Proof of Double Vaccination will be required.
Please don’t attend if you’re experiencing Covid or Flu like symptoms, if you’ve been in, or you come from a Covid Hotspot, or if you’re supposed to be in isolation for any reason.

Paddlers entering for their first race in a PNSW Marathon Series, and any paddler wanting to enter anything other than the Division they last raced in, or were assigned to, should choose one of the “Ranking” race Divisions. (unless entering in Divisions 1, 8, or 9)

Please note that as this race will count towards the final series point score for all paddlers, and as Trophies are being presented, unless you’ve been promoted or relegated from the last race (Penrith) you must enter in the Division you last raced in.
