Share Your Diversity With Us

PaddleNSW is committed to becoming an inclusive and diverse organisation.

We are gathering information on activities undertaken by clubs and members in this space already – it might be having an inclusion policy, Acknowledgements of Country, involvement with local First Nations communities, holding a paddle for the LGBTIQ+ community, having targets to increase the number of female padders, etc. Whatever it is, we want to hear what your club, paddlesport or group has been up to!

Also, expressions of interest are still open for members to be on our Diversity and Inclusion Committee. If you identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, speak a language other than English at home, live with a disability, are passionate about women’s representation in sport, are a member of the LGBTIQ+ or gender diverse community, or are from any other community that you feel needs to be represented, and can share your experiences, perspectives and ideas with us, we would love to hear from you.

This committee will help us understand the barriers and gateways to participation in paddlesports for people from diverse backgrounds. The committee can also run a range of activities (eg. events, awareness raising) in this space if they choose to.

Please email admin@paddensw.org.au by September 15 to report on your club’s activities or to express interest in being on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
