Return to Marathon

NSW Paddlers will get an opportunity for a Return to Marathon at Narrabeen on Sunday 21st November.
Manly Warringah Kayak Club will host what will be Race 8 and the final race in the shortened 2021 PaddleNSW Marathon Series, and also Round 2 of the Junior Series for new junior paddlers.

With an easing of Covid restrictions we will also be able to conduct the Series Award Presentations at the completion of the race, once our timekeepers and committee have had a chance to confirm the results.Trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place-getters in all Divisions, along with a number of Encouragement Awards for some well deserving competitors.

Entry is through GoMembership and more details can of course be found on the PaddlenNSW Marathon website pages.

Paddlers who previously entered the postponed Woronora Marathon have had their entries transferred to the Narrabeen event and do not need to re-enter.

We’re hoping for a really good turn out, not just to get paddlers out onto water again, but also to come along and show some support for those who paddlers who will finish on the podium, and the recipients of the Encouragement Awards.

We’re also hoping that paddlers will use the opportunity to meet the new Marathon Committee members who will all be in attendance, and keen to chat with paddlers and get their thoughts on the future direction of Marathon in NSW.The Committee members, Laura Lee, Larissa Cleverley, Jason Ware, Matilda Stephenson & Bob Turner, will all be easily identified in their PaddleNSW Marathon Committee shirts, so please take the opportunity to seek them out, have a chat and share some thoughts.
