Join the PAQS Leaders and Coaches Webinar on May 31st

PaddleNSW is investing in the future of paddle education in NSW with the PAQS Leaders and Coaches Webinar Series. These one-hour webinars share expertise from around the NSW and national paddling community, and are targeted to current and aspiring leaders and coaches with time for questions and discussion.

Next webinar topic: Paddle Education and the Paddle apps, PaddleEd and PaddleLog

When: Tuesday 31st May, 19:30 AEST

Topic: Mark Thurgood (Participation and Training Manage at PA) will discuss the functionality of the PA Education apps and show us how to navigate across them quickly and efficiently to obtain, assess, process and renew your qualifications. There have been a number of changes to the system following the survey in Nov ’21 so it will be good to learn about the changes in this webinar. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask Mark questions.

Mark will also provide an update of the new Sport Australia Essential Skills online program and how this may impact in the future on PA coaching qualifications.

Where: Online, please join Mark’s Webinar from your computer, tablet or smartphone via https://meet.goto.com/791633661

Note: The aim is to keep these webinars to 1 hour. They will be recorded and posted on the PNSW Youtube site. Note that the online booking is for 1.5 hours as a precaution and to also facilitate those of you who wish to stay online and ask Mark further questions.

About Mark: Mark Thurgood has been with Paddle Australia since January 2014. Mark has over a decade of experience in paddling and instructing, is a Paddle Australia qualified Assessor, Advanced Sea Instructor and a SKOANZ guide and also holds a diploma in outdoor recreation.

His role is to manage and develop the Paddle Australia Qualification Scheme and work with the PA education and safety technical committee and our National Training Providers.

Mark works closely with Lynn Parker and Margi Böhm towards ensuring that the links between PNSW leaders and coaches and the PA website is as seamless as the online system will allow.
