From the CEO’s Desk – March2018

Dear Members and enthusiasts,

2018 is well underway and as Bob reported earlier, we have numerous events across all disciplines already conducted or ready for the starter’s gun. There is no shortage of choice if you love paddling.

We have many paddlers who choose to specialise in their own discipline, and just as many who spread their wings and compete in multi-disciplines.

Besides the all-important PaddleNSW website and event calendar, you can also follow upcoming events, read post-event articles and look for your action photo in one of our many Facebook pages. Like and follow……

PaddleNSW is extremely grateful to the volunteers on each of these sub-committees that keep our members and enthusiasts regularly informed. That information channel can be further assisted by honorary gurus with IT passion. We are looking for a volunteer with Google Adwords experience to assist in managing our adwords account. Training provided. Time commitment is a couple of hours per month. Similarly, we invite applications for e-newsletter editor. Training provided – 4 hrs/month. Expressions of interest to CEO please.

With so many events at State and National level, we are now preparing to stylise and release a brand new PaddleNSW competitive uniform. Standard basic sky and royal blue are so 1970s, so we have the cutting-edge youth of today from within our disciplines currently designing the 2020 prototype with our new logo. Our thanks to Gary Rake for driving this project. Stay tuned.

Final word from me in this edition…..Clubs would be aware we customarily reduce our State membership prices in the new year for new members. This was again activated in early February, so if you have a friend or family member who enjoys getting out on the water, please encourage them to join now… http://canoe.org.au/join-australian-canoeing/

Happy and safe paddling.
