DOLLS POINT CLASSIC
posted with permission from Dolls Point Paddlers’ Facebook
A massive field of more than 170 paddlers out on Saturday for the Dolls Point Classic.
Our mighty little Sutherland Shire Canoe Club/Dolls Point Paddlers once again punched way above it’s weight, with a posse of eager volunteers arranging a parking, marshalling & rego area that had the potential to be a dog’s breakfast.
Well done to everyone at the club involved, especially Commodore Bingle, and thanks to everyone who turned up to race. The race itself was run in sparkling conditions, a gentle westerly cutting up the mirror smooth bay as the morning wore on.
Here’s a few pics from the day.
Scotland Island Showdown
Entries are now open! https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=128816
Welcome to the Scotland Island Showdown, race five of the 2018 PNSW Harbour Series, hosted by Paddlecraft.
Please be careful when completing your race entry, and ensure you select the correct event/race.
Paddlers are now required to create their own WebScorer Profile, which can be done before or during the entry process. Creating a WebScorer Profile has no cost, and offers many advantages, the main one being that you will only enter your personal details once for the season, and race entry after that will require only 1-2 questions to be answered.
If entering doubles please ensure both you and your partner are registered for the race in WebScorer and have the same Team Name as it makes it easier for us to organise the starting lists. For OC-6 crews, please put your team name as the partner name too.
Lifejackets are required to be worn by ALL paddlers in this event.
Leg Leashes are required for all paddlers in this event.
Early Bird Entries close at midnight on Tuesday 29th May.
All entries close at 6:00pm on Friday 1st June.
Race Start is at 8:30am.
Race Briefing is at 8:15am.
Registration is available from 7:00am, and closes at 8:00am, Saturday 2nd June.
On the Day Registration is not available
In the event of inclement weather, please refer to our website and Facebook pages.
