SUPtember 2022

Harry's winning photo from the Hunter Valley Paddlesports Club clean up

Another successful SUPtember round of clean ups was held last September. 514 kg of rubbish was pulled out of our waterways by 6 clubs and other organisations.

Most participants and most rubbish: Hunter Valley Paddlesports Club

Most random piece of rubbish: River Canoe Club – see the photo of Piggy, who is now the club’s clean up mascot!

Best initiative: Kayak Share Club – for putting paper bags at the entrance to a beach for people to take to put their rubbish in, and pick up other’s rubbish

Best photo:  Harry Verheul’s photo from the Hunter Valley Paddlesports Club clean up event and Bron Powell from Western Paddlers NSW while cleaning up a creek in western NSW.

Prizes were donated from Take 3 for the Sea and the eco-friendly coffee co Single-O Coffee.

Thanks to all clubs and organisations who participated: Friends of the Colo, Hunter Valley Paddlesports Club, Kayak Share Club, River Canoe Club, Sutherland Shire Canoe Club and Western Paddlers NSW
